Mrs. SmitaParanjape has been a true multitasker all her life. She is an imaginative entrepreneur and promotor in her own right. She is responsible foran administrative management of the foundation's several undertakings including events, publications and strategic planning. Her indispensable contribution of over fifty years to her husband Artist Ravi Paranjape's brilliantly successful career has been acknowledged by the GADIMA foundation with an esteemed

'Grihini-Sakhi-SachivAward' From concept to completion, 'The Ravi Paranjape Studio' is a result of visionary decisions of Mrs. Smita Paranjape coupled with Raviji'sdesire to spread the thought of visual literacy and the design based culture.

What began asanidea of having a permanent place forRaviji's works, the idea evolved into 'The Ravi Paranjape Studio'. It not only housed the collection of Raviji's art but created one-of-a-kind platform for the community to express and educate through art.

Mrs. Smita Paranjape works as an Executive Director of 'The Ravi Paranjape Studio'.Shealso serves on the board of 'SPACE Institute for Education & Rehabilitation of Spastics'

Manager-in-Charge

Sanjay started as a young apprentice in Artist Ravi Paranjape's commercial art studio in 1981. In spite his low profile and quiet demeanor Sanjay's dedication and hard work didn't go unnoticed. Quickly identifying his potential Raviji took it upon himself in training Sanjay in Raviji's self-developed architectural perspective drawing technique. Raviji kept him motivated with more complex work upon finishing the earlier one. Within no time Sanjay became one of the most sought after architectural perspective drawing experts in India.

After Raviji's retirement from commercial art business, Sanjay chose to migrate to Pune with Raviji to manage his painting and literary operations. After thirty seven years of association Sanjay has become an integral part of the Paranjape family.

Sanjay has recently assumed responsibilities as manager in-charge of the newly established 'The Ravi Paranjape Studio'.


Mrs. Varsha Paranjape

Financial & Executive Advisor
Graduate in Food & Nutrition, Varsha Paranjape began her management career in the chemical manufacturing industry. She branched out to start her own successful chain of mid-size departmental grocery stores called 'Shopping-Glory' while she served on the board of directors of rapidly growing real estate giant 'Paranjape Schemes Construction Ltd.'.

Varsha brought over two decades of executive management experience in making several critical decisions during planning of the Ravi Paranjape Studio. She continues to serve as a financial and executive advisor to Studio's management.

Varsha has also been committed to social cause for more than a decade. She serves on the board of many educational organizations in Pune. She is also one of the trustees of the 'SPACE Institute for Education & Rehabilitation of Spastics'.


Maruti Patil

Fine Artist/Graphic Designer/Professor

Born in Belgaum, Karnataka, eminent artist and educationist Maruti Patil has made a mark in landscape paintings and figure drawing. He studied painting at Chitramandir in Belgaum and later on G.D. (Art) from Sir. J. J. Institute of Applied Art in Mumbai. He was a professor Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalaya, Pune and retired from the same as a Principal. Post retirement, he worked for five years in D.Y. Patil college of Applied Arts & Crafts.

He has exhibited his paintings in a number of solo as well as group exhibitions. His paintings are in collection of many art connoisseurs both in India as well as abroad.


Rahul Deshpande

Rahul Deshpande has done BFA (Applied Arts) from Sir J. J. Institute of Applied Arts, Mumbai

Along with Gopal Nandurkar, he has designed the modules for "Kalakalpa – Art by Post". He also has co-authored four art instruction books published by Jyotsna Prakashan, in the series "Methods and Techniques" – viz., "Methods and Techniques -Colour Pencil", "Methods and Techniques – Pastel," "Methods and Techniques – Graphite Pencil", and "Methods and Techniques – Pencil II." He has also worked as editor for some Fine Art books. He continues working in the field of illustration and also exhibits his paintings in various shows. http://www.rahuldeshpandefineart.com/
